Life has been both fast and slow at the same time this year. So, it’s not odd that you may be losing a bit of steam to pursue your dreams of entrepreneurship. I totally get it because I’m dealing with that same issue now. I fortunately flipped through a few books while cleaning that motivated me to continue my freelance journey. Today, I’m going to share five of those books that may help motivate your entrepreneurial spirit.
Within the last 5 years, I bought plenty of books but never set aside enough time to actually read. I do remember why I wanted to purchase them so I’m very excited to finally dive in.
In no particular order, here are the books so you can check them out:
Millionaire Success Habits | Dean Graziosi
Before I got super busy in 2019, it was one of my nightly reads for two weeks. I actually found the first few chapters of this book rather insightful and inspiring. I’m looking forward to gleaning all the helpful tidbits in this one.
The 10X Rule | Grant Cardone
In the old Periscope days, my friend got me hooked on Grant Cardone. His high energy and focus eventually grew on me and I purchased his book. I remember completing a few exercises when I first got it and gained some clarity that I was lacking. As usual, life slide in and the book slid back on the shelf. Definitely one that I’d love to finish.
“You are a Badass” books | Jen Sincero
- You are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life
- You are a Badass at Making Money
A woman that I truly admire shared that she read these two books and they positively impacted her life. It was her visible mindset change for me. In the midst of quarantine, I ran and ordered both books with the hopes of devouring them. I only read the first few chapters of each but I was hella motivated!
You know that I’m definitely going to dive back into these two!
The Bible
My faith is front and center so I’m always scanning the Bible for a Word to strengthen me. It’s also a nice source to find encouragement when self-employed. When I found the other books, I also uncovered a notepad of passages that I saved when I first thought about life as an entrepreneur.
The first scripture was about the Proverbs 31 woman. I deeply love this because she was a business woman who also had an abundant life. I simply love reading through the Bible to find gems like Proverbs 16:3 and Deuteronomy 8:18.
Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Proverbs 16:3
I also enjoy scripture books like The Magnificent Word of the Lord by Sandra Kennedy with specific topic sections on Perseverance, Grace, Victory, and Wisdom. By the way, if you’re interested in a Bible Reading plan, then Bible.com has great reading plans that my friends and I love!
Well, there they are! The five books that I will be reading and that may help to motivate the entrepreneurial spirit. I’m aiming to make reading a priority in my life again so I’ll put my reading game plan into action.
P.S. Do you have any books that you revisit for motivation as an entrepreneur? Drop them in the comments!
