Today, I’m sharing my first impressions of my new undated Desire Map planner.
NOTE: I was heartbroken to learn that the Desire Map Planners by Danielle LaPorte are no longer being produced. Super sad news. It was a great planner and will definitely be missed.

2020 had been an unpredictable year so I was looking for something that was intentional and light.
I ended up purchasing the undated weekly planner from the Desire Map Planner Collection by Danielle LaPorte. It was an easy decision since I already own an earlier dated Desire Map Planner.
Why did I choose an undated planner?
An undated planner offers me the wonderful ability to skip using it for a week or a month. I can still be intentional without being restricted and still get my money’s worth.
A major win.

In the past, I have enthusiastically started using a planner and then abandoned it after 90 days. Unfortunately, I always decide to pick it back up after years have passed and the dated pages are all obsolete.
It Looks Good
After opening the box, I fell in love with the stunning cover since it was even nicer in person. The design I chose has “What I Will do to Feel the Way I Want To Feel” written on the sturdy front cover.
It is the Gold and White edition with the marble-like styling and gold coil on the side.
I’m in a complete love affair with marble this year so major bonus points.
The Contents
As I poured through the first few pages, I am reminded of why I love these Desire Map Planners. It fits in nicely with my routine of using daily gratitude lists. Plus, I love how it aligns with my mindset and feels purposeful, intentional and light.
Since I have an earlier Danielle La Porte dated planner, I did notice some similarities and differences. Inside the front cover, it has the usual core desired feelings printed and the first few pages explain how to use the planner.
Since I like to write large, the squares on the monthly calendar are a bit small but I’ll still use it to write important dates like birthdays and appointments.
The weekly portion is undated and features an area to write 3 important items on your To Do list. It also has a space to write your core desired feeling, devotion, and body/wellness.
I love that it also has the words in the perforated bottom corners.
Still my fave because as I work through the planner, I love to tear off the corners and set them in a jar on my desk.
Another favorite feature is the #truthbombs that line the bottom of the pages.
After each week, there is also a section for reflections that I think is cute.
The Differences
I’m in love with my purchase. However, the undated planner has two differences from my dated Desire map planner: it is smaller in size and the actual location of the monthly calendars.
The undated planner is smaller, but I like that it can fit in my purse. My previous Desire Map planner could only fit in my larger bag for work.
If you’re familiar with Danielle’s planners, then you may not like the smaller size of this undated planner. Their website shows a height of 8.5 inches and a width of 6.75 inches for the undated planner that I purchased.
So, here’s the part about the monthly calendar section. The 12 undated months are located in the front of the planner and are separate from the weekly portion.
I was a little disappointed at first since I didn’t anticipate that location.
I would have preferred if the weekly pages appeared after each monthly page. But, I realize it makes sense to not have it all grouped together since it is undated.
I know that I skip months of writing in my planners so this format will definitely suit my style. I’m literally just opening this planner in March so it’s perfect and I can use it as I need!
Overall, I love my new undated weekly Desire Map planner! I already feel less pressure to stick with using it each month. This may actually be the first planner that I completely use.
So, if you’re looking for a planner that is simple, focused and intentional, then the undated weekly Desire Map planner by Danielle may be the one to check out.
I hope you found this post helpful along your planner seeking journey!
Hi Amy!
I feel the same way, too! Sadly, I haven’t found a new planner for 2022 yet.
Danielle’s planners will definitely be missed. But, hopefully we will all find a new one that aligns with the planners that we loved from her.
Thanks for your comment!
